Hanne Buis appointed new Managing Director of Lelystad Airport

As of 1 January 2017, Hanne Buis (age 40) will serve as Managing Director of Lelystad Airport. She succeeds Erik Lagerweij, who will remain involved in the development of Lelystad Airport in his role as Project Director.

Ms Buis has worked for Schiphol Group since 2004. After holding various positions within Business Development and Airside Operations, she has been Director of Aviation Marketing since 2012.

Jos Nijhuis, CEO of Schiphol Group, comments on the appointment of Hanne Buis: 'Lelystad Airport will play an important role in the future growth of Schiphol and aviation in the Netherlands. It's good to appoint an experienced and broad-minded aviation expert at this stage of development, as it will allow further developments to be carried out in a responsible manner after the airport's opening in 2018.'

As of 1 January, Maaike van der Windt will begin as the new Director of Aviation Marketing. She has been previously employed by Schiphol and has been working at Brisbane Airport in Australia for the past eight years, most recently as Aviation Business Development Manager.
