Schiphol wins award for most innovative airport

During the Future Travel Experience Europe Innovation Awards, Amsterdam Airport Schiphol won the prize for most innovative airport in Europe. The organisation in Dublin praised Schiphol for its ongoing development and application of the latest techniques to further optimise the passenger process.

According to the jury’s report, the airport is at the forefront when it comes to innovations such as facial recognition, self-service facilities and mobility services. The report states, for example, that Schiphol has ‘one of the leading apps within the aviation industry’ and that ‘mobile technology plays a crucial role in creating a seamless passenger experience’.

‘We are extremely pleased with this award. It is a confirmation that we are on the right track to becoming a Leading Digital Airport in 2019. By effectively utilising digital contact moments, we will connect with and stay connected to passengers and be able to provide them with even better service.’
