71 million passengers through Schiphol

In the past year, 71 million passengers travelled from, to or through Schiphol, representing an increase of 3.7% relative to 2017. There were a total of 499,446 air transport movements at Schiphol in 2018, an increase of 0.5% compared to 2017. The cargo volume decreased by 3% to 1.7 million tonnes. Schiphol's network included 326 destinations in 2018, the same as in 2017.

Eindhoven Airport also saw its passenger number rise to 6.2 million (up 9%). Rotterdam The Hague Airport registered a 10% rise in passenger numbers in 2018, to 1.9 million.

These are the preliminary traffic and transport figures of Royal Schiphol Group for 2018. The definitive figures will be disclosed upon publication of the financial statements in February 2019.
