Ban on unauthorised taxi services at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol

The Municipality of Haarlemmermeer decided to amend the General Municipal Bylaw (APV) for the Schiphol area with effect from 30 January 2017. The legislative amendment will enable the municipality to prohibit unauthorised taxi services from soliciting fares in the area around the Schiphol exits. Schiphol welcomes the amendment and anticipates that this will provide a good basis for creating a stable situation at the airport. With the implementation of the new General Municipal Bylaw on 30 January, tough action will be taken against taxi drivers who continue to solicit fares from passengers in violation of the municipal ban.
