Images new terminal Amsterdam Airport Schiphol

Amsterdam Airport Schiphol has chosen the design of the consortium KL AIR for their new terminal. The  consortium represents KAAN Architecten in collaboration with ABT, Estudio Lamela and Ineco. The new terminal will open in 2023 and will allow 14 million more passengers to travel through Schiphol annually. The new terminal is an expansion of Schiphol's existing terminal, making it possible to retain the one terminal concept.

Amsterdam Airport Schiphol CEO Jos Nijhuis: "The design provides a sense of unity by fully integrating into the existing airport. It follows very human-centric principles that fit within our one-terminal concept. The terminal will have an ease and simplicity of space. From our perspective, all of these elements combine to fit within Schiphol’s DNA. It is practical, functional and graceful."
