Jaap Winter joins Royal Schiphol Group Supervisory Board

Summary

Jaap Winter joins the Supervisory Board of Royal Schiphol Group. Schiphol Group's shareholders have agreed to this. Winter is appointed for a period of four years.

Winter is partner at Partner Phyleon leadership & governance. He advises boards and non-executive and executive directors on board leadership, board dynamics and governance. Before that, he was chairman of the Executive Board of the VU University in Amsterdam. Winter has a great deal of legal experience, with governance as a specialism. He worked as a legal advisor at Unilever and was partner at De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek for ten years.

Winter is Chairman of the Supervisory Board of both Stichting het Van Gogh Museum and Erasmus University Rotterdam. He is also Chairman of the Board of Stichting ADORE, that is committed to funding building and research facilities for oncological and neurological research at the Amsterdam Universities Medical Centre.

Schiphol faces important challenges, including the need for a sustainable transformation of aviation. I look forward to contributing in this role.

Jaap Winter

The Supervisory Board is very pleased to welcome Jaap Winter as a new member. With his broad managerial experience, he will be able to make an important contribution.

Louise Gunning, chair of the Supervisory Board

Winter takes the vacant seat that was created after Joop Wijn stepped down at the end of his third term. With the appointment of Winter, the Supervisory Board now consists of seven people.
