Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse light Disney Christmas Tree at Schiphol

Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse landed at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol today for a tour of the Netherlands with the ‘Disney On Ice presents Let’s Party!’ show. Shortly after their arrival at the airport Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse and several children, joined by Gary Mey, Sales Director,Schiphol Media, lit the Disney Christmas tree in front of Schiphol Plaza.

The twelve-metre tree is adorned with more than 15,000 lights and enchanting Disney decorations, with a spectacular light show every eight minutes. Visitors to Schiphol can take a magical photograph of themselves with the tree with their iPhone or iPod by downloading the Disney Framez app and sharing the Christmas magic! The Disney Christmas tree will light up Amsterdam Airport Schiphol from now until Monday, 7 January.

After the tree-lighting ceremony Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse joined their other Disney friends and will bring Disney Christmas magic to the cities of Den Bosch and Utrecht from 14 – 23 December with the spectacular ‘Disney ‘On Ice presents Let's Party!’ show.
