More than €100,000 for regional sports: 25 clubs receive support from the Schiphol Fund

In the second donation round of 2026, the Schiphol Fund awarded a total of more than €100,000 to 25 sports clubs in the vicinity of Schiphol. The donations help clubs purchase sports equipment that promotes physical activity.  

Two clubs received a contribution of €10,000. AKU athletics club in Uithoorn will use the funds to purchase a second long jump pit and R.S.V.U. Okeanos in Amsterdam to purchase a new boat. Other donations were for the purchase of a balance beam, artificial grass for a golf course, badminton rackets and flippers for a diving club.  

Thanks to the new donations, clubs can maintain their value to the neighbourhood and enable more people to participate in sporting and social activities. The large number of applications to the Schiphol Fund shows how important the fund is to sports clubs in the Schiphol area.  

The Schiphol Fund holds four annual donation rounds for initiatives that contribute to physical activity and connection.

The Schiphol Fund was established in 1994 with the aim of supporting sports and physical activity in the vicinity of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. The fund receives an annual donation from the airport and uses it to support projects where physical activity and sports take centre stage.
