More than 50 companies with vacancies at Schiphol job fair

For the fifth time, Royal Schiphol Group, Schiphol Aviation Community, the employers’ organisation Werkgevers Servicepunt Groot-Amsterdam and job centre Regionaal Werkcentrum Groot-Amsterdam are organising a job fair at Schiphol. The job fair is a unique chance to get in direct contact with more than 50 employers at the airport and to discover the career opportunities Schiphol has to offer. Nearly a quarter of visitors at past events found jobs at Schiphol.

There are many job opportunities at Schiphol and the event organisers see that there is still significant interest in working at the airport. Around 2,000 potential applicants have signed up for the upcoming job fair on Saturday 1 February. At the fair, companies located at and around Schiphol will demonstrate why working for them is appealing. Job seekers can talk directly to employers about the job vacancies, and at some companies the contracts are ready to be signed.

Day in and day out, everyone at Schiphol is committed to providing travellers with a positive experience. Around 74,000 people work at Schiphol, employed in many different fields by a wide variety of companies. At this job fair we are bringing employers and job seekers in this tight labour market together and demonstrating how great it is to work at Schiphol.

Esmé Valk, Executive Director Human Resources at Royal Schiphol Group

Work for all job seekers

Despite the tight labour market, there are still people who are not able to find suitable employment. At Schiphol, there are opportunities for everyone who is willing and able to work. Potential applicants can even choose to take a jobs coach or supervisor with them. Everyone who can and wants to work deserves a chance. There are vacancies for full-time jobs, as well as part-time and side jobs.

There is particular demand for operational staff in (flight) handling, logistics, facility services, security, technical services, cleaning, catering and retail. This year, there's an added focus on the technical sector. Companies that have job openings in aircraft technology, such as technicians and mechanics, will all be located at a designated technology plaza.

Practical information
