Polderbaan Runway available for air traffic again

The Polderbaan Runway is available for air traffic again. The runway was out of use for more than a week because of maintenance works. The works took two days longer than originally planned due to some unexpected repairs that needed to be made to the asphalt. This may have resulted in unexpected extra noise, Schiphol regrets any nuisance experienced by local residents as a result.

The works included replacing the top layer of asphalt and restoring markings where needed, cleaning and inspecting the rainwater discharge, checking the cabling and electrics, and cutting the grass around the runway. The works were carried out in cooperation with Heijmans.
