Schiphol drops one place on the list of best connected airports

Amsterdam Airport Schiphol has dropped from second to third place in the ranking of transfer airports with the best connectivity worldwide. This is evident from a report by Airport Council International (ACI). Schiphol had to concede second place to Dallas-Fort Worth, as ‘the capacity limit restricts the development of connectivity’. Schiphol remains Europe’s second best connected airport in the direct connectivity ranking.

ACI calculated the hub connectivity score based on the number of connections, their quality and the passenger transfer times. Direct connectivity refers to transfer-free connections. With no transfers, the Netherlands is directly connected with 327 destinations in 98 countries via Schiphol.

Both rankings are headed by Frankfurt.
