Schiphol Fund awards over €110,000 in the region
On Friday 6 June 2025, an amount over €110,000 has been awarded to organisations active in the area of sport and exercise in the region around Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.
This was the second time the Schiphol Fund has awarded money in 2025, and there are two more presentations planned for this year. Donations were given to forty-four (sports) organisations.
There were a record number of requests this time round. The board looked carefully at how to allocate the budget as best as possible so that the Schiphol Fund can support as many sports associations as possible in the important work they do for local sports.
The highest amount in this round went to Fietscrossclub de Kombocht, a BMX club in Bussum. They received a donation of €6,500 to upgrade their starting hill.
In 2024, a total of 82 sports clubs and associations received a donation from the Schiphol Fund. The Schiphol Fund was founded in 1994 with the aim of supporting sports and exercise initiatives in the area around Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.
