Schiphol Fund awards over €113,000 in fourth round of donations for 2025
Special Olympics Haarlem 2026 receives largest donation of €10,000
Today, during the Schiphol Fund’s fourth donation round, more than €113,000 was awarded to 26 sports clubs in the region surrounding the airport. With these contributions, the Schiphol Fund supports sports clubs that contribute to vitality, sports participation and a strong community life in the region.
The largest donation of €10,000 went to Special Olympics Haarlem 2026 for the purchase of bocce courts. Bocce is a form of bowling or boules.
124 sports clubs in 2025
In 2025, 124 sports clubs received a donation from the Schiphol Fund. The total amount awarded was more than €450,000. Last year, there were 81 sports clubs.
The number of applications was high this year. This underlines the importance of the Schiphol Fund and the ambitions of the sports clubs. We are proud that we have been able to honour so many applications, either in part or in full. We remain committed to keeping sport accessible and future-proof for the local communities around the airport.
About the Schiphol Fund
The Schiphol Fund was set up in 1994 at the initiative of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and with the aim of demonstrating the airport's social commitment to the local community. Every year the Schiphol Fund receives a donation from the airport and supports projects related to physical activity and sport.
