Schiphol Fund supports 33 associations with more than €117,000 for sports in the region

In the third donation round of 2026, the Schiphol Fund awarded more than €117,000 to 33 associations and clubs in the area surrounding Schiphol. The donations will help organisations purchase, among other things, sports equipment that encourages people to stay active.

Thanks to these contributions, associations can continue to play an important role in their communities and enable more people to participate in sports and social activities. Once again, the Schiphol Fund received a large number of applications in this round, highlighting the importance of the fund for sports clubs in the Schiphol region.

‘From Fietsmaatjes in Nieuwkoop to the Bokscentrum in Amsterdam, this round of applications once again demonstrates the wide-ranging need for support,’ said Annemariecke Schneider, Chair of the Schiphol Fund. ‘The Schiphol Fund’s donations enable associations to make necessary purchases without being forced to increase membership fees. In this way, we help keep sport accessible to as many people as possible.’

The Schiphol Fund organises four donation rounds each year for initiatives that promote physical activity and social connection.

The Schiphol Fund was established in 1994 with the aim of supporting sports and physical activity in the vicinity of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. The fund receives an annual donation from the airport and uses it to support projects where physical activity and sports take centre stage.
