Schiphol hosts Airport Exchange 2012

Over 1,500 aviation experts to convene in Amsterdam

From Monday 26 to Wednesday 28 November, Schiphol Group will be hosting the Airport Exchange 2012, a leading conference for airports in Europe and Asia, organised in conjunction with Airport Council International. Over 1,500 aviation professionals will be convening at the RAI Conference Centre in Amsterdam to share expertise and information on the issues of airport development and the environment, security and border control, airport operations and the passenger travel experience.

‘Airports 2020’

‘We are very proud to be hosting the Airport Exchange 2012, this year themed “Airports 2020”’, says Schiphol Group CEO Jos Nijhuis. ‘Given our ambition to be and remain Europe’s Preferred Airport, it is essential that we look to the future and respond to the latest market trends and developments. The Airport Exchange is an excellent catalyst, generating new inspiration through the exchange of knowledge and experience. Amsterdam Airport Schiphol aims to be a frontrunner in modernisation and sustainable innovation in this industry.’

New at this year’s Airport Exchange are the Schiphol Interactive Forums led by Schiphol staff and the airport’s partner network, designed to give delegates an insight into the Schiphol approach.

Airport tours

Schiphol Group will host two airport tours for conference participants on Monday 26 November. One will focus on baggage handling and the other will showcase Schiphol's efforts and innovations in the area of security and border control.
