Schiphol welcomes French-style bakery concept LOAF to Lounge 1
Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and Avolta are introducing a new food and beverage concept at the airport: LOAF. This French-inspired bakery brings a cheerful and flavourful experience to the recently renovated Lounge 1 and marks another step towards improving the catering facilities at Schiphol.
With the arrival of LOAF, Schiphol continues to invest in improving the passenger experience at the airport. In a typical French setting with open terraces, travellers can enjoy French classics and local specialities. The menu includes hot and cold baguettes, prepared with fresh sourdough bread.
We are investing substantially in improving the passenger experience at the airport with a clear goal: to make it increasingly attractive to travel through Schiphol. With the opening of LOAF, we are adding another high-quality concept. Besides upgrading our catering concepts, we are also strengthening our retail offering with brands like Louis Vuitton and Rituals, and building an airport where experience is key. This way, we offer travellers an attractive mix of luxury, convenience and quality.
We are very excited to introduce LOAF to travellers. With this combination of French inspiration and local application, we want to set a benchmark for international airports together with our long-time partner Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. Our mission is not only to offer delicious products, but also to create a unique experience for our travellers. I compliment the local Avolta team on the design of this French-inspired bakery LOAF, which creates a unique atmosphere with its open terraces, warm colours and mosaic tones.
Lounge 1
LOAF is in a familiar location in Lounge 1, where Café Chocolat and Seafood & Bubbles used to be. With almost 200 seats and a 24-hour supply of fresh products, LOAF offers a high-quality and accessible dining option for every traveller, at any time of the day. The lounge, which is where travellers flying within Europe enter after the security check, recently expanded from 19,000 to 24,000 square metres, creating more walking and seating space. Schiphol is also expanding its range of shops and restaurants with 23 new concepts, offering travellers even more variety and high-quality services.
