Statement Schiphol KLM and BARIN on travel

We are facing tremendous challenges in these times of COVID-19. It affects us all. The government is urging us not to travel unless absolutely necessary. Schiphol and the airlines are doing everything they can to make travel responsible and safe. We are deploying extra staff, doing our utmost to make sure travellers maintain their distance from each other at the airport, and spreading flights out over the whole day.

An appeal to our travellers

We urge our travellers to adhere to the coronavirus safety measures. Maintain a 1.5-metre distance, wash your hands regularly, do not travel if you have symptoms, and wear a face mask at Schiphol and on board the plane. We also strongly urge people who drop travellers off at the airport to not enter the terminal. We will strictly monitor compliance with these measures.

This way, we work together in making sure that necessary trips can go ahead and that the connections for passengers and cargo, that are so important to the Netherlands, can be maintained.

We thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
