Summary

Almost 5.2 million passengers flew to, from or via Schiphol in December 2024. It is an increase of 7% compared to 2023. Most passengers flew to the United Kingdom, Spain, Italy and the United States. The number of flights to and from Schiphol was 37,449. That is an increase of almost 5% compared to 2023.

Amount of passengers 
In December 2024, almost 5.2 million passengers flew to, from or via Schiphol. 3.1 million departed from or arrived at Schiphol, and almost 2.1 million transferred at the airport. There were over one million transfer passengers, who are counted twice in accordance with the international counting method: once as an arriving passenger and once as a departing passenger.

Most popular destinations 
Almost 3.6 million passengers arrived from or flew to a destination in Europe. Almost 1.6 million passengers arrived from or flew to an intercontinental destination outside Europe. The United Kingdom was the most popular destination, followed by Spain, Italy and the United States.

Flights 
The number of flights to and from Schiphol was 37,449 in December 2024. This is an increase of almost 5% compared to 2023. Of these flights, 30,203 went to European destinations and 7,246 to intercontinental destinations.

Cargo 
The number of all-cargo flights was 3% lower compared to December 2023. There were 1,253 cargo flights in December 2024, compared to 1,296 cargo flights in 2023. The total transported volume was 118,160 tonnes. That is a decrease of almost 2% compared to 2023.
