Traffic and transport figures for October 2025

Summary

6.2 million passengers flew to, from or via Schiphol in October 2025. It is an increase of 3% compared to 2024. Most passengers flew to Spain, the United Kingdom, Italy, the United States and Turkey. The number of flights to and from Schiphol was 42,007. That is one flight more than in October 2024.

Amount of passengers  
In October 2025, 6.2 million passengers flew to, from or via Schiphol. Almost 4.1 million departed from or arrived at Schiphol, and almost 2.2 million transferred at the airport. There were approximately almost 1.1 million transfer passengers, who are counted twice in accordance with the international counting method: once as an arriving passenger and once as a departing passenger.

Most popular destinations  
Almost 4.5 million passengers arrived from or flew to a destination in Europe. Almost 1.8 million passengers arrived from or flew to an intercontinental destination outside Europe. Spain was the most popular destination, followed by the United Kingdom, Italy, the United States and Turkey.

Flights  
The number of flights to and from Schiphol was 42.007 in October 2025. This is an increase of one flight compared to 2024. Of these flights, 34,058 went to European destinations and 7,949 to intercontinental destinations.

Cargo 
The total transported air cargo volume in October was 131,543 tonnes, a decrease compared to October 2024. Notably, cargo carried on passenger flights decreased by 4% year-on-year. In total, 43% of the cargo was transported on passenger flights and 57% on full freighter flights. The number of full freighter flights was 1,388 in October 2025, the same amount as October 2024.
