Unique Olympics experience with OMEGA at Schiphol

Temporary boutique offers special Olympics edition watches until September

The world’s very first temporary OMEGA Boutique opened its doors at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol on 1 July, featuring a range of special edition Olympics watches. This campaign, in which the OMEGA brand is partnering with retailer Gassan and Schiphol Media in a ‘Trinity’ model, is truly special and unique. The temporary boutique carries an extensive collection of OMEGA watches, including the OMEGA Constellation, OMEGA Seamaster, OMEGA Speedmaster and OMEGA De Ville Prestige. The unique James Bond Seamaster limited edition watch will also be included in the range as soon as it is available.

OMEGA

The 2012 London Olympics hold a special significance for OMEGA: this will be the 25th time that OMEGA will act as the official timekeeper. The company will also be celebrating the 80th anniversary of its first participation as timekeeper in the Olympic Games this year. The 1948 Olympic Games, which were also held in London, in fact heralded the birth of sports timekeeping as we know it today.

The Trinity Partnership Model

In addition to its temporary boutique, OMEGA has embarked on a multi-touchpoint promotional campaign at strategic locations throughout the airport, on the advice of Schiphol Media. The campaign features a variety of eye-catching digital and analogue media resources. The Trinity Model is becoming a leading trend for airport travel retail campaigns, in which the airport joins forces with a brand and a retailer to create the best possible conditions for all parties – an approach that has proven to produce highly positive marketing and sales results.

The OMEGA campaign and boutique can be enjoyed at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol from 2 July until the end of September. The temporary boutique is located beyond passport control between Lounges 2 and 3.
