Almost 6 million passengers flew to, from or via Schiphol in June 2024. It's an increase of 5% compared to 2023. Most passengers flew to Spain, the United Kingdom, Italy, Greece and the United States. The number of flights to and from Schiphol was 40,857. That is a 5% increase compared to 2023.
Amount of passengers
In June 2024, almost 6 million passengers flew to, from or via Schiphol. 3.8 million departed from or arrived at Schiphol, and 2.1 million transferred at the airport. There were over a million transfer passengers, who are counted twice in accordance with the international counting method: once as an arriving passenger and once as a departing passenger.
Most popular destinations
4.3 million passengers arrived from or flew to a destination in Europe. 1.6 million passengers arrived from or flew to an intercontinental destination outside Europe. Spain was the most popular destination, followed by the United Kingdom, Italy, Greece and the United States.
Flights
The number of flights to and from Schiphol was 40,857 in June 2024. This is a 5% increase compared to 2023. Of these flights, 33,555 went to European destinations and 7,302 to intercontinental destinations.
Cargo
The number of all-cargo flights was 7% lower compared to June 2023. There were 1,241 cargo flights in June 2024, compared to 1,337 cargo flights in 2023. The total transported volume was 121,648 tonnes. That is an increase of almost 8% compared to 2023.
